700c (28") Schwinn Trailway hybrid

What happened

I left the biked locked in my enclosed porch area with a locking gate. Since I share this accessway with my roommate and two neighbors I believe that one of them left the locking gate open and allowed entry of the person who took my bike. I do not believe either of my neighbors would have taken it and my roommate obviously has not. I don't know how the lock was defeated. I imagine it was cut and thrown away into any one of the numerous nearby alleyway trash basins. I am incredibly upset. Being stolen from is just about the worst feeling ever.
