What happened
I keep my and my girlfriends bike in our back storage unit which is connected to our back door, it has another door leading to the side gangway of our building. that door also locks, which is why I dont lock the bike when it is stored there. The landlord is doing work to the exterior of the building and the workers who received a key from the landlord are using that storage space for tools and using the outlets in there to power their tools. They left the door open and the side gangway gate open while they were working and apparently while they left the job site as well. I left for work at 6am 10/10/14 and returned 330 pm 10/10/14 to find my bike missing and the gate and door unlocked and opened.
