What happened
Thief disassembled street sign to bypass the U-lock. The U-lock was a combination U-lock by Kryptonite (however, the combination was set to the correct combination, but it appears that the thief did not realize this as the lock looks locked regardless of combination). In the end though, it appears the method of theft was dis-assembly of the street sign.
