Rossin c. 1986
What happened
The Rossin was locked in my garage with the other bike that was stolen. The door was forced open; the deadbolt splintered the frame. The thief(s) came in from the alley and appear to have left from the alley (no tracks in the snow leading to the front of my house).
Bike details
- Type
- Road Bike
- Color
- Metallic Grey w/ white decals
- Size
- 58 cm
- Condition
- The Rossin had a black Cinelli stem, Modolo Professional brakes, white grip tape, Campagnolo seat post with a Bernard Hinault Turbo saddle. Forks and right chain stay were chrome. I installed a temporary crank, pedals and rear derailleur so that a friend could try it for size. The crank was common (new Siguno maybe) but the rear derailleur was a vintage Triplex Professional--Campy copy, not too common and an old Shimano 600/MA 40 rear wheel, front wheel was unmatched. I had also installed my old Shimano SPD mountain bike pedals for the test ride. Included photo shows the bike without the temporary parts installed.
