What happened

I came home from Roscoe Village Bikes after getting the bike tuned up around 8 pm on Aug. 15th and locked my bike with my Kryptonite U-Lock through the front wheel and frame to the metal fence inside my apartment building's side yard. A key is required to get through the front gate where my bike was locked to the fence. At 8:30 am on Aug. 16th, I went outside to go to work and my bike was gone, along with my lock. Someone must have either had access to the front gate of our apartment building or jumped the fence, then had to break the lock to steal my bike. I made sure the lock was working just after I locked it to the fence the previous night.
