What happened

I left my bike locked to visit the Lincoln Park Zoo for about an hour and a half and it was gone when I returned. My wife's bike that was locked to it was still there and our helmets were left there as well. They also stole the baby seat that was attached to the rear rack. Ed note- user selected U-lock as lock type but later offered: "We had a cable and u-lock. The cable was cut--the u-lock was still in tact."

Condition: Like new. The rear rack was removed and replaced with a rack co-pilot rack for a baby seat. Everything else was stock.

Locked to: Locked to bike rack.
How locked: Locked through front wheel and frame to object.
How defeated: Lock was cut, and left at the scene.
Duration: Locked up next to the Lincoln Park Zoo Admin building on Clark and Armitage. It was therefor an hour and a half.

Recovery notes

The CSBR received an email on 9/9/13 with the succinctly worded message: "We found it listed for sale on craigslist and enlisted the help of police to recover the bike and arrest the seller."
