Giant Escape 3 Hybrid Bike

What happened

Bike was left in the front of my building. It was left with the u-lock in place and properly secured. I realized he bike was stolen around 5:00pm. I went downstairs to the scene and saw the lock was cut and the u-lock was left on scene. Brand new bike. Used for only about 2 weeks. The chain had fallen off and I was going to get it fixed, so unless the theif fixed the bike, it had a noise-making chain when pedaled.
