Recovery notes
On 10/4/2012 the victim wrote: I'm happy to report that my bike was recovered yesterday evening (10/3/12). My fiance (owner of the blue GT 2.0 stolen on the same day) saw a teenager riding my bike through the park across the street from our house. He stopped the guy and told him he was pretty sure he was riding a stolen bike. The kid said it was his cousin's bike and went to get his cousin. The owner said that he bought the bike from "some guy in the neighborhood he sees around sometimes", who swore it wasn't stolen. The new "owner" lives approximately 50 yards from our home. We called CPD, but they took so long to respond that we went to the police station 2 blocks away. We are now working with a detective to close out my stolen bike report and to try to identify who sold the bike in the hopes that we can track down the other bike as well.
