2011 Trek Kaitai

What happened

Bike was stolen from inside a locked bike room that is only accessible from the back yard of residence. Perpetrator had to get thru a locked gate and force his way into bike storage room. Bike was locked with a chain and combo lock to a standing steel shelving unit. No sign of lock or chain was left. Other (not locked) bikes were also taken. No one saw or reported anything suspicious, but I suspect thieves had to know bikes were in there b/c they are not visible to general public in any way.

Condition

2011 model. Very clean w/little scratches or damage. Had tire and seat quick-release replaced with locking bolts. Hand grips replaced with GPI-S grips (that have a wide base to rest the palm of your hand on). Black Bottle cage and U lock. Behind-seat pack with flashing reflector light inside. Small black bell on right handlebar.
