What happened
The only items left behind were cut bungie cords. So the thieves must have been in a hurry. Possibly scrappers in North West Indiana of Hammond. This is a heavily gang infested area. A lot of stealing is present along the tree street in North Hammond.......Even the Hammond Police are cautious. Due to Hammond budget cuts, the Hammond Police no longer have bike patrols unless it is at a festival.....

- New bike stolen, 1 year and 1 month after purchase. Purchased at Village Cycle Center on Wells Street in Old Town.. I selected a few features....Nubby tires, had a leather grey seat, and changed the shifting gears from a thumb shift to a wrist shift for my convenience.........The bike is 15.5 inches and is Crimson Red.....The bike was stolen in Hammond Indiana where I grew up....in the 4900 block of Beech Street, in Hammond Indiana.....The bike was stolen from the back of my bicycle rack....
