What happened

I road my bike to work on the morning of 7-28-2011, I locked my bike up to one of the bike racks out in front of 303 E. Wacker Dr. Chicago, IL 60601 at approximately 8 a.m. I went to Bockwinkles for lunch at 12:30, I saw my bike locked up where I left that morning when I walked to and from Bockwinkles. I left the office on 7-28-2011 at approximately 6 p.m. As I was walking to the area where my bike was locked up I noticed that I did not see it, when I got to the bike rack where I locked my bike up that morning my bike and my bike lock were missing. I spoke with the security manager of 303 E. Wacker Dr. and he told me that in the last 3 weeks 3 bikes were stolen from the same area my bike was stolen from. The odd thing about this is that the security manager did not make an effort to notify the companies who reside at 303 E. Wacker that all employees should be aware of bike thefts in the area. He stated that the sidewalks are property of the city of Chicago and he is not obligated to inform anyone of the issues that take place on the sidewalks.

Mens'a 56 cm Specialized Allez Road Bike, Silver in color with a bike computer mounted on the handlebar. There are small white scuff marks on the right hand grip/brake area. My bike has Shimano SPD clipless pedals, it has Shimano Sora/Tiagra 24-speed components, a specialized carbon fiber seat post, and two water bottle holders. There should be a sticker located near the front crank that reads, "The Bicyce Chain". The are a couple small scuff marks near the rear wheel hub/rear derailleur area. I relocated to Chicago from Minneapolis 11 monthss ago and I used my bike to travel around Chicago as my main mode of transportation. If you notice this bike around please call me and provide me with details on where you were when you saw it and please provide a description of the person riding my bike.
