What happened

Bike stolen from in front of my house while I went inside to go to bathroom. Missing Gazelle. Keep an eye out. My good friend and companion since I brought back from Amsterdam in 2004. Men's Gazelle Black 3 speed. Great condition. Vintage late '80's. Rear rack. Soft chain and rear wheel covers. Disc brakes. Triple Gazelle bungees. Gold bell.

Recovery notes

On 8/3/2011 victim reports he bought the bike back from a local seller who was offered it by a neighborhood kid, and bought it knowing it was the victim's and intending to pass it along to the victim at the same price. We at the CSBR are happy the victim received the bike back, but disappointed that it did not happen in a way that has the potential to reduce rather than promote bike theft.
