2008 Trek 7300WSD

What happened

I was on my way home from the bike shop. This bike was a replacement for the one that was stolen THE DAY BEFORE!!! Husband and I knew we needed u-locks and decided to order them from Amazon at home to save a few bucks. We stopped at Best Buy to run in quickly and look at something. Entertained the thought of taking our bikes in, decided that probably would be frowned upon, so we locked our bikes up together with the thick cable he's been using for the past 9 months on a sign that was clearly visible, just 10 feet outside of the front doors. I stayed within sight of the doors and looked out every 30 seconds. During one of those 30-second intervals, it disappeared. My bike was leaning against his and they were both locked through the frames and front wheels to the pole. Since mine was on the outside, it was taken. Cable was cut. A witness at the scene described the thief as a white male, early 30's, husky and bald. Police canvassed the area and put out a BOLO to CTA.
